Moothedam is a beautiful hilly village belonging to Nilambur taluk of Malappuram district. The location of Moothedam Panchayat is close to forest area and rivers. The place is full of hills and slopes rising above the sea level. Moothedam is situated at the foothills of the Nilgiris, a part of the Western Ghats. Moothedam is an agricultural region with small fertile plains along the river banks. One side of the panchayat is surrounded by dense forests. Mootheda has a scenic environment as it is a forest area with the presence of wild animals.
